Equivalent to over 150,000 disposable takeaway cups. We are reducing single-use plastic, ensuring that our packaging can be recycled and reused to reduce the environmental burden.
The packaging has become smaller and lighter, allowing us to increase the number of products on each pallet by up to 60%. This further reduces the carbon footprint from production to deliver to consumers.
In 2023, we introduce plastic-free packaging, with the outer box and tray designed entirely in paper, which is sourced from FSC MIX certified materials, originating from responsibly managed forests and wood.
Direct emissions and energy indirect greenhouse gas emissions of global operation sites in 2022 was 187,645 metric tons CO2e (by market-based), which was a 13.5% reduction compared to the previous year. Aligning with global goals, aim for carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Delta’s high-efficiency products have saved over 39.9 billion kWh globally from 2010 to 2022, equivalent to 21.05 million tons of CO2. In 2022 alone, our power, energy storage, lighting, and fan products across 11 categories contributed to a 4.02 billion kWh reduction in energy consumption for customers worldwide. Delta is committed to achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030 across its global locations (RE100). In 2022, renewable energy accounted for 63% (RE63) of the total power consumption of 709,484 MWh, with 447,002 MWh coming from renewable sources.
