Yes, higher wattage supports lower wattage charging. For example, 280 watts charger charges 240 watts, 230 watts, 200 watts, 180 watts, 170 watts, 120 watts, 90 watts, 65 watts and 45 watts. However, it is not recommended to use a lower wattage charger for a higher wattage device. You might experice slow charging and overheating.
Due to different design logic of traditional and USB-C adapters, Innergie laptop adapters do not provide USB-C tip. The traditional adapter’s output power is fixed betweeb 19V – 20V and USB-C adapters’ output power is auto-switch to 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, or 20V upon laptop’s input request. If you would like to charge your USB-C laptop, please choose Innergie C6 Lite (65C) or C10 Lite.
